LGA St. Mary's Kids Holiday Party
The St. Mary’s Kids Party, formerly the Jack McKeough Boat Ride, was held at the LaGuardia Marriott Friday, November 13, 2009 and was a huge success!!  Many thanks to the LaGuardia Kiwanis Club, The LaGuardia Marriott, Royal Waste Services, Air Serv Corp., Queens Public Television, Molly’s Balloons,  and several members our Club, who pooled their resources and/or participated in this event to give approximately (50) chronic and seriously injured kids a hilarious night of fun they will  never forget!  They ate a fantastic meal, danced wonderfully, and partied non-stop for (2) hours! 
 

A special note of thanks to those in attendance; President, Verdia Noel, Dolly DeThomas,Chair, Tom Walsh Co-Chair, Bob Spring, Lt Gov Wayne, Past-President Doris, Veta, Edward, Bill, Angelo, Clorinda, Ray, Cheryl, Vivian, Ana and Greg! 

 

All the children were provided with gifts ranging from T-shirts to caps, art work and cute little huggable toy puppies!  Angelo, Clorinda, and Veta brought along volunteers of family and friends!  Thanks to all those who helped make this a very special event for the lovely children of St. Mary's Hospital.

Installation of Officers and Board of Directors
On November 5th, the new slate of officers of the LaGuardia Kiwanis Club was installed by Queens West Lt. Governor, Wayne Scheriff.  We had a wonderful turnout of Club Members, including our own Helen Marshall, Queens Borough President, Assemblyman, Jeff Aubrey and support from other clubs in the Queens West Division.  We look forward to an exciting new year and wish our new administration much success.
